Paro Taktsang: The iconic landmark of the Paro Valley, Paro Taktsang also known as Tiger’s Nest is the most popular attraction site of this valley. Situated on the cliff, the monastery has a great historical and religious significance for the people of Bhutan. The Dzong is located at a distance of 11.5 km from the central part of Paro.
Rinpung Dzong: Established in the year 1646, Rinpung Dzong is among the oldest Dzongs of the entire country where people visit to admire the beauty of its environment and architectural brilliance.
Chele La Pass: Considered among the highest motorable passes in the country, Chele La pass is situated at an elevation of 3962 m. The top of the pass offers some of the best views of the Paro Valley and panoramic view of the Himalayan range
National Museum of Bhutan: The museum is one of the primary places where people visit to witness the rich history and culture of Bhutan. The museum is built on the military watch tower and houses historical artefacts that date back more than 1500 years.
Dzongdrakha Temple: This is one of the sacred places to visit in Paro that shares the same architectural design as Paro Taktsang. The place is also believed to be the site where the Tibetan lama Gongpo Dorji used to meditate.
Drukgyal Dzong: One of the oldest Dzongs of the country, Drukgyal Dzong located on the foothills of the Jomolhari Mountain is a must-visit site in Paro known for its serene environment and ancient architecture.
