Dochula Pass Sightseeing

Located on the way from Thimphu to Punakha, Dochula Pass is one of the most fascinating places to visit in Bhutan popular for its high altitude passes and serene beauty. Dochula Pass Druk Wangyal Khang Zhang Chorten is the major attraction of this place It includes 108 stupas made in memory of all the Bhutanese soldiers that died during war with the Indian insurgents in the year 2003. Located at an elevation of 10,330 ft, the pass offers some of the best views of the Himalayan range along with nearby snowcapped mountains. The place is also popular with tourists for hosting the Dochu La Wangyal festival, a vibrant and energetic festival celebrated every year on the 13th of December.
