Dampa Tiger Reserve Sightseeing

Spread across 550 sq km of land, Dampa Tiger Reserve is the largest biosphere reserve of the state and has been able to stand out as the major attraction of the state. Situated at a distance of 127 km from Aizawl City, the tiger reserve is home to numerous species of plants, animals and birds. Tigers, Leopards, Indian Pythons, Sloth Bears, and The Barking Deer are commonly sighted in this region along with various species of birds.

Bird Watching : The Dampa Tiger Reserve is a haven for birdwatchers, with over 300 species of birds recorded in the area. Tourists can sight hornbills, peacock pheasants, partridges, eagles, falcons, and owls in this region.

Jungle Safari : Dampa Tiger Reserve allows tourists to embark on a jungle safari where tourists can spot a variety of other animals, including elephants, leopards, deer, bears, and a dazzling array of birdlife.
