Batasia Loop Sightseeing

The central attraction of the Batasia loop is the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The Toy Train is the major part of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway that operates in a 2ft narrow rail gauge from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Darjeeling with a journey of around 8 hours. The sight of a steaming toy train passing through the curved rail route in the lush green park with a backdrop of Himalayan range and lush flower blossoms offers a picture-perfect view that attracts tourists in a huge number.

Eco Garden: Surrounded by a variety of Rhododendron and Gingko Biloba, the garden is situated at the Batasia loop and is among the major points of attraction.

War Memorial: The war memorial is located in the centre of the park and was established to commemorate the Gorkha soldiers of Darjeeling who died in the War of Independence.
